Blue-haired hockey player gets nicked by the school

“Hey! I didn’t do anything wrong! I just want to “Say Anything” at all!”

I was watching a news report the other about a hockey player from Barrie, Ontario named Adam Zussino, who got suspended (unofficially) after he dyed his hair blue. The reason: he wanted to have that type of haird dyed blue because his team are heading towards the playoff games. The school that he attended is St. Catherine of Siena catholic school in Barrie. The school officials told him that “hair colour is a concern to parents because there are a lot of different styles related to gangs.” The school officials meanwhile have to take the issue seriously. The dress code from that particular school states that, “Students shall not have extreme colours and styles related to certain subcultures … not in keeping with Christian values.

There was some mixed reaction to this news, a fellow student at another catholic school told his teacher that he liked the new style. Don Cherry, known for his commentaries on CBC’s “Hockey Night in Canada” on the Coach’s Corner segment decided to get on board for support for Adam Zussino. Now he is seeing red on how the people treat Adam. This is what he quoted in an interview: “I have heard of political correctness but this is nuts, I mean what the heck is wrong with blue hair? The principal is obviously not a hockey player, This is ridiculous. What’s wrong with dying your hair for the playoffs? All the junior kids do that, and so do some in the NHL. It shows team spirit.

On second note, the school has decided to give Adam Zussino a “grace period” – providing if he should dye his hair brown or blond or even black. The family is trying to work out a deal with the school. I guess he (Adam) should follow the treatment that Josh Ramsay of Marianas Trench did (see picture below).

As what the late-Danny “Tourettes Guy” Smith said to this if he was alive today about the hockey player’s suspension, “THIS IS BULL%@#$!” To see theTourettes Guy video (about his colgate toothpaste) and one of Marianas Trench’s videos, you can do so below:

  1. That’s garbage, you’d think even a Catholic school could be supportive of it’s students and their endeavours. It’s not like he died it to become a rock star or any crap, it’s in support of his sports team.

  2. These little troublemakers are forever pushing the envelope and distracting everyone from the real purpose and issue, quality education in a peaceful, stable environment. They love being disruptive and I’ll bet this is just the tip of the iceberg for this kid and his idiotic parents. They will have the same argument with the police when he gets busted and the criminal justice system when he doesn’t make parole. Then his kids will get in trouble and the situation will repeat itself because he was never taught to behave himself properly. Get a grip parents. Your rotten kid is out of control. I don’t want your kid next to mine in school because I think he is a loser in the making and I don’t want him influencing my children.
